Five Fave Blogs

Today's topic is my five favourite blogs, I have been reading a couple of blogs before I started my own blog and some are just a must read!

So here are my five favourites;

Rhiannon's Wardrobe; this is my best friend's blog, she started this blog before me and she just started writing again now that she has finished her dissertation work. One of my favourite post has to be the "what to get him for Christmas" and not just for a boyfriend, this could be for dads and brothers too.

Yuk-Lui; blog written by Nicol Wong, this is one of my daily must read, I love her style and what she has to say. As we have similar skin type too her blog really helped me out in the past for what products to buy, shes 100% honest in her reviews.

xgardenofedenx; the reason this is one of my favourite is that she doesn't always write about beauty or fashion stuff. This is the blog to read if you want something a bit different to read!

x-couturegirl-x; Im sure that all the beauty bloggers have heard of Couture Girl. I came across her blog when I was reading reviews about hair extensions. Now this is one of my favourite blog and one of my must read every day!

I couldn't think of a fifth, I think I just love too many blogs. I can't resist reading a random beauty blog and then it becomes a favourite. So these are my favourites, what are yours?

What's in my make-up bag - Handbag edition

HANDBAG EDITION:

I have seen a few of these going around and I thought I would do “what’s in my make-up bag, the handbag edition”

I used to have a big bag so I literally used to take everything with me. I came to my senses finally and I knew I was being ridiculous. Who needs that much make-up during the day?! Now I only carry the essentials!

I carry it in my No 7 clear make-up bag; it’s just the right size to fit in my bag and fits all my make-up in.

Clinique Superpowder – I usually re-apply when I get a bit shinny during the day
Clean and Clear Oil Control Film – I use this before re-applying powder to absorb excess oil so it doesn’t clog up my pores when I re-apply my powder.
Powder brush- when I went to university I’ve lost all my other brushes and I have just stuck with this one since.
Compact mirror
Clinique chubby stick- for some extra colour
Vaseline
Max Factor Clump Defy Mascara
2True eyeliner
BeautyUK eyebrows pencil- recently got HD brows, so these just fills in the gaps.
Gosh Defining Brow Gel- my eyebrows hair grows downwards, so this just helps controls it.

I see some people that carry all their make-up in their bag (including me before I came to my senses) but it just makes you bag extra heavy and you just don’t need all of that!

What’s in your make-up bag? Do you carry everything round with you?

Max Factor - Clump Defy Volumising Mascara

Hi all, half way through the week already getting closer and closer to the weekend! Finally, I feel like this week is dragging, I had my last exam on Tuesday, keep your fingers crossed for me!!

(not my picture)

I have had my fair shares in mascara and mascara was what started my obsession with make-up! I cannot tell you how many types of mascara I have had since I started wearing make up!

I've always been a fan of Max Factor mascara because in the adverts the models are not wearing false lashes, so you can really see what the mascara will do! I hate the mascara adverts where the models wear false lashes and it makes me think that my lashes are going to turn out like that and obviously it doesn’t. As I am very fussy with the type of brush on my mascara this was great choice. The Clump Defy Volumising mascara does exactly what it says. Due to the plastic brush it stops the clumps forming on my lashes as it is easier to brush it out if they do clump.

As I work early shifts I yawn a lot because I am so tired and most mascaras I have had would smudge and let me tell you these doesn’t, I fall asleep and wake up my lashes are still the same as it was before I fell asleep.

I can’t rate this mascara enough, I absolutely love it. I have small and thin lashes so the mascara does volumise it and gives my eyes definition. It is also easy to remove at night which is an added bonus.

After two coats
They are available in Superdrug or Boots for £10.99

Have you tried the Max Factor Clump Defy Volumising Mascara?

Day in the Life - #BEDM

Today’s topic is a day in life, my week is pretty consistent and I don’t actually do anything exciting. This week I have been very lazy as I have just finished all my exams I’ve literally been chilling.

Since it’s only half way through the day I will describe yesterday’s day! I work the early shift so I’m at work from 6:15am, yes it gets very tedious. I woke up at 5:30am and washed my hair, got dressed etc. It’s a good thing that I live 10minutes away from my work! Since it was sunny I decided to treat myself to a make-a-shake after work and I even got one for my sister and dropped it off at her school – I was very generous!

I then came home and waited for my delivery from next! I decided to treat myself to a new bag! I saw it in the shop and just fell in love with it instantly. You know when you see something and you can’t stop thinking about it? So I bought it! I love how summery the colour is! The bag is £32 from Next! I then went to buy some dinner an ‘old el paso’ kit I tried out the quesadilla dinner kit, it was so easy to make and it was absolutely lush!

That's pretty much my day! How was yours?

MAC Capricious Lipstick

I have always been a fan of MAC, but I have never been a fan of lipsticks. It’s hard to come across a good lipstick that doesn’t dry out your lips and show off those flaws! So you can tell when I decided to invest in the MAC I was being optimistic. And let me tell you I will never regret that decision.

From the packaging to the actual lipstick I absolutely love it, I love how classy the lipstick looks in its black packaging and how the actual lipstick stays moist so your lips doesn’t dry out. The other reason I decided to invest in MAC lipstick was because it’s long wearing and it’s true.

The shade I decided to pick was the MAC capricious shade, which is a rosy plum with a gold shimmer and it has a lustre finish. It made my lips soft and ultra-moist. This is the lipstick I would wear on a night out if I had heavy eye make-up. It’s not an overwhelming colour, it just enhance your natural lip colour.

Have you tried MAC lipstick? Available from £13.50-14 from Debenhams

#BEDM - Day 2.

This is the perfect subject for today as the sun is out! I feel like spring came a bit late this year since it was still snowing in March! But finally we are starting to see a bit more sun which mean I can start to put away my winter clothes and get out my summer ones!

Although spring has never been my favourite, I am glad that its getting warmer and since I have finished all my exams this year's spring is going to be the best one yet.

Thisyear I have set goals for myself for the summer, one that fails every year isto get fit but this year I am determined. I’ve even bought myself an exercise matso I am hoping this will motivate me more!

Let’ssee what the spring will bring, but I am definitely a summer girl

Blogging Everyday in May.

I have decided to take up the challenge created by Elizabeth from Rosalilium, find out more here.

Since I have just started this blog, I thought this challenge would be a great way to get my blog going and meet new people. I often get distracted so I thought this would be a great way for me to get creative; also there is a topic a day so you can never run out of things to write!

Onto my five lines, I think I’m quite excited to go back to University! I took 2 years out to qualify as an accountant (boring) and now I am off again to finish my Management Degree. I’m very excited that it’s getting warmer, summer is definitely my favourite season, I love wearing summer clothes rather than feeling cooped up in a massive coat and I am looking forward to going on another holiday to Indonesia. Woo!
