Lee Stafford - For Hair That Doesn't Grow Past A Certain Length

"If the earth is not nourished you'll never grow beautiful flowers"

So pink is not my favourite colour at all, but I don't know what it is about Lee Stafford products that always attracts me. Every time I'm in Boots or Superdrug I can't help but look at the Lee Stafford Pink Range!

If you haven't read, I have been having micro bonds in for a couple of months (read here) but recently had it taken out due to matting etc. Although the micro bonds did help my hair grow as I didn't wash it as much or use straighteners I was still unhappy with the length! I have unrealistic expectation and I literally thought my hair was just going to grow an inch a night! So wasn't long before I was trolling through the internet for "how to make my hair grow faster tips" and although I have been doing a couple of those tips such as not washing my hair as often it was still not growing as fast as I wanted it to and I wanted to give my hair a break from more micro bonds so that is my last resort (I'm very impatient). So when I came across Lee Stafford - for hair that doesn't grow past a certain length, I thought why the hell not! At only £7.99 in Boots it was a bargain compare to most hair masks.

This is what it claims it does:
  • Its vital hair and scalp complex helps to reduce hair loss.
  •  It improves follicle health which in turn increases the ability of the hair to anchor to the scalp.
  • The soothing formulation reduces irritation and moisturises the scalp.
  • It addresses hair and scalp ageing at a cellular level whilst providing an improvement in tensile strength to give body and texture by penetrating the hair reaching the inner cortex
  • Improves feel and volume of hair
How to apply:

The treatment is an inbetween shampooing and conditioning. You would use an "egg size" amount and apply it directly to your roots massage towards your ends. This you would do after you shampoo your hair and you would leave it in for FIVE minutes before rinsing it out and using your normal conditioner afterwards. Now there isn't really a lot to do in the shower for five minutes so there's a lot of standing around.

Lee Stafford recommends that you use this every time you wash your hair until the condition of your hair is better and then use once a week!

My verdict:

Pros: Although it does not make my hair magically grow every time I use it, it has made my hair a better condition! The first time I used it I thought it wouldn't work as my hair didn't feel any different but the more you use it the softer my hair felt. So I guess Lee Stafford is right a well nourished hair makes the hair grow faster!

Cons: Every time I use it I seem to shed a lot more hair than usual, I'm not quite sure why.. But the unclogging of matted hair is not the one! Also it smells weird, I'm not good at describing smells, it smells like if you had your hair perm or permanently straightened but less strong? (See what I mean about bad description!)

I thought I would give it a score! So with my verdict I would give it a 6/10! I'm still in search for hair growing tips, so if you have any send them my way!

Have you tried Lee Stafford's For Hair That Doesn't Grow Past A Certain Length? What did you think?

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser

So this bad boy was in my payday wish list! Let me tell you beauties I love it. I cannot rave about it enough! At first I thought oh its just one of those products that's going to leave me feeling sticky and doesn't actually moisturise me at all. But I was wrong!

This product is a savour! If you have dry skin and you cannot be bothered to moisturise this is the product for you! I am literally so lazy when it comes to moisturising, don't get me wrong I always moisturise my face and hands but body was the last thing on my mind, so when sun started shinning my scaly legs come out to play.

When I saw the advert I thought why not give it a go, at only £3.56 a bottle I just couldn't resist. So the idea of it is to put this on after shower gel, scrub or anything that you do as this doesn't clean you, then you just rinse it off and dry and you are ready to go out! I absolutely love it, I can honestly say I am scale free! I'm not feeling itchy or conscious about my legs and arms!

This is my must have product, it has taken a permanent place in my bathroom! Recently got my second bottle as it was on offer in Tescos! Love it.

What's your must have product?

Recent Purchases

Hello beauties, sorry for the lack of post I have been a bit busy recently then I got ill! Now I am literally working so much! Never thought I would say that.

On with the post, I went out to Milton Keynes a couple of weeks ago and for someone that is trying to save money I did a pretty good job and managed to only get 3 things!! I know, I did well for myself! I thought I would get some summery stuff, really into coral things at the moment so when I came across the shoes I was like I have to get these!

Limited Mark And Spencer - I was forced to go into M&S by my mum and I never thought I would find these shoes! I just absolutely love them I have since purchased another colour in caramel! They are not as high as heels I usually buy so I can wear them during the day with a nice dress! They don't hurt as much as actual high heels! I absolutely love this colour, pops out and it's so summery!

Clinique Chubby Stick in Oversized Orange - I absolutely love my chubby sticks, these are the second one I recently purchased. I love how moisturising they are but they're not too sticky! It's also not too bright or too pigmented either, so it's perfect for when the sun out and it goes nicely with my skin colour! I think I'm too into my corals at the moment as these literally go everywhere with me and when I saw it, it was like love at first sight and only for £16! Bargain.

Clinique Stay Matte Foundation - I recently got the Clinique Perfectly Real foundation and I said it had a bit of a shimmer, now I didn't mind this at first but when the foundation started to wear off the shimmer would still stay and just made me looked extra shinny! So when I got a free sample I decided to get it straight away! Absolutely love it, perfect for the summer. I'm not saying that it stays on all day but it is best for the heat as I don't feel like my make up is just melting off my face.

What are your recent purchases?

No More Google Reader

Hello fellow bloggers,

As most of you know Google is getting rid of their Google Reader as part of their spring cleaning! Very mixed emotions right now! As Bloglovin has informed me it is very easy to import all your readers to bloglovin! I have literally just done that, and hopefully everyone will do too as I don't want to miss any of my readers! I look forward to reading your post more on the go via bloglovin app!

Superdrug Haul

It's that time of the month again when we get paid! I am trying to save so I thought that I would go on a budget shop to Superdrug! Got a couple of things that I said I was going to buy! So here are my purchases and a short review;

MUA "Undressed" palette - I have heard many raving review about this as this is the dupe version of the Urban Decay "Naked" palette! You cannot complain about this palette, I think you get more than what you paid for! The palette is £4 and you get 12 different shades from your neutral colours to the more darker black colour - the shades are almost matching to the UD naked palette. Only thing is you would have to apply eyeshadow primer just so it stays on a bit longer and I feel that I have to apply quite a lot of it so the colours are a bit bolder! But you cannot complain for £4!!

Barry M "Touch of magic" lip paint - We all know how hard it is to find a good shade that would match you so I thought I would give Barry M "touch of magic" a try! It has absolutely lush black packaging that gives it the classy look! the lipstick is green, waterproof with aloe vera and it is supposed to react to your lips pH and create the perfect shade for your lips! Absolutely unique, if everyone in the world would have this lipstick no-one would have the same shade! I haven't used this much but the time I did I had a bit of a fever so it came out redder than I thought it would! Another positive point it stays on forever, until you take your make up off!!

Nivea in shower moisturiser - So I am really lazy when it comes to moisturising and by lazy I mean really lazy! I wouldn't moisturise until my skin was starting to flake, yes I know that's really bad!! So when this little bad boy came out I was so excited and it is living up to my standards! I have only been using it a week but I can really tell the difference. So you just have a shower using your normal shower gel and rinse off and then apply this and the rinse and dry! It does leave you all silky like in the advert! Only downside is that it does make your shower/bath tub very slippery so do warn family members and it did clog up the drain a bit!

Max Factor Lipfinity in "04" - this is a re-purchases as I loved it so much before I couldn't resist buying it again! You do need a couple of coats for the colour to really pop but for everyday use you only need one of two! What I love the most is how easy it is to apply, we all get into that situation when wearing lipstick and you can't find your lip liner to fill that little bit on the corner the lipstick wouldn't get, that's why I love this product so much is no hassle at all.

Superdrug Deep Cleansing Mud Mask - I have only used this once since I got it but I love it! It also comes in a bottle so there is no hassle of trying to use it all up like the sachet ones that are usually there. It really did leave my skin soft and clear after I used it!

And finally, I know this isn't a Superdrug product but I thought I would  throw it in here too!

Clinique Perfectly Real Make Up - This is my replacement for the superbalanced make up and I love it just the same! I picked up shade 14 (I really don't know why they do not keep shade names the same!!) perfect match to my skin. I think its a bit shimmery, I don't know if anyone else got this as well? It might just be me. It feels so light on your skin but it covers up all the redness and the imperfection. So 10/10 from me!

What are your monthly buys?

Would You Rather - Beauty Edition

I have seen this floating around some blogs and I thought that I would give it a go for a bit of fun! Anyone can join in as I would love you see your answers!

I think that everyone knows the standard rule of would you rather, picking one or the other.. Pretty self explanatory! These are the sets of questions;

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
This is an easy answer for me I would definitely lose all of my palettes of eyeshadows! As I rarely wear eyeshadow and I only wear them out I wouldn't mind as much if I lose them! But I look like I haven't showered in months if I don't wear mascara and eyeliner as they just give me a fresher look!

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Never be able to cut my hair off again! I have been daring the last couple of years and constantly chopping off my hair but every time it comes to summer I'm always gutted that I can't have beachy hair! Also longer hair in my opinion is easier to manage ( my hair is naturally straight so I don't need to do anything to it!) but if its short I have to style it etc.

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Coral all the way! Pink makes me look weird!

If you had £1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
Clothes! I have a lot of make-up and I have never finished make-up so I would spend it all on clothes instead! Don't get me wrong I love make-up but I just need the clothes!

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Oh my! I wouldn't do either but if I had to choose it would be applying eyeliner as lipstick, not only is it easier but you can get nice dark colours as well! Imagine trying to use lipstick on your eyes!!
Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
We don't have a Sephora in England *sobs* but I definitely would shop in Sephora, I don't think I can just have MAC items!

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
One eye colour! I don't wear a lot of eyeshadow anyways so this was a bit of an easy one for me! The eyeshadow I wear I tend do stay with that shade anyways.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Winter clothes in the summer! We barely get a summer in the UK, so I am always cold and looking out for a good wooly jumper!

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?
Dark nails! I think dark nails suits me better. Other than nudes I don't tend to wear any lighter shade.

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
Ohhh favourite lip product! I know I said I don't wear a lot of eyeshadows but I love my eyeliners and mascara. So I will have to give up the lippies! Most of the time I don't wear lipstick anyways and plus eyeliner and mascara makes me look fresh.

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?
Messy bun all the way! You can wear a messy bun out and still look sophisticated.

Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Never use lipgloss! I don't wear lipgloss since I had an allergic reaction to a lipgloss! it was a long time ago but it has put me off it since then.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?
Sharpie them in everyday!! imagine having no eyebrows! I used to have really thin eyebrows but now I am very appreciative of my good eyebrows!!

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
100% without nail polish! I don't have to paint my nails but if I don't wear makeup it literally looks like I haven't showered!

I would love to see your answers, comment if you decide to do a "would you rather"

Payday Wishlist

(Images from Google, edited by me)

As we all know payday is coming up and I am so excited! I have been so skint this month that I am literally dribbling over so many beauty products cause I just want it all! This wish list are the main items that I want to get as soon as I get paid.

1. Clinique perfectly real makeup - I'm running out of my Clinique foundation and this was the other that was recommended by the lady at the counter. I was thinking of swapping for a different brand but I thought why? When a product suits my skin I shall not risk it with other brands right? Skin is so important to me.. It takes over night to break out, but it takes what feels like forever for my skin to recover!

2. MAC fix+ spray - I will get this in the travel size just to test it out first, costing £7.50. I have seen this product on a few blog, you are meant to apply it after you finish your make-up. Some blogs says that it makes you make-up stay longer during the day and give it a dewy finish! So I cannot wait to try this out!

3. MUA undress me palette -  this is meant to be a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette. Since the UD is quite expensive, I decided to give the MUA a try costing £4! I thought why not! I reckon this is going to be one of the best purchase, it has got colours you can use during the day and darker ones for going out! Perfect.

I'm pretty sure that I will buy more products once I go shopping, but making a wishlist will keep me in track. I'm such an unorganised buyer!!

What's on your payday wishlist?
